It’s a pleasure to be part of Lay Pastors Ministry since 2009 when introduced to Uganda. This ministry is mostly serving the congregation, and it is a multiplication system to promote the growth of the church.
After some good years I realised that this ministry is strengthening the church where by all church members are reached on, being prayed for by the lay pastors, this leads to a strongly built church for JESUS Christ.
Now lay people got to know their responsibilities in the church because they are all ministers after equipping them for the work of ministry.
When I read the book called “Can a pastor do it alone?”” It was a great lesson to learn that in the church leadership, we can’t do the work of ministry alone. We need others for the successful ministry.
I was not a senior pastor by the time when Lay Pastors Ministry started in Uganda but after serving my leader as a lay pastor and always bringing report from congregational visit this was a starting gear of manifesting my Spritual gifts.
PACE is the heart of lay pastors ministry, stands for P-Prayer, A-Available, C-Contact, E-Exemplary for sure, these four principles helped me so much to boost my ministry. This kind of ministry system helped me so much to fulfil my calling and easing the work of congregational management.
I conclude by thanking God for the founder of this ministry, Dr. Melvin Steinbron to see far and for allowing God to use him in transforming the church of Christ in Uganda and the entire world. I appreciate Rev. Byeong, who connected me to Lay Pastors Ministry since 2009, my ministry and others have changed and progressed, as we plan to extend the ministry to all churches countrywide.
